Audi S2/RS2 Single Stage PAS Pump
Our Audi S2/RS2 single stage PAS pump is intended for vacuum brake conversions, where the factory tandem PAS pump must be removed or modified to disable the brake hydraulic circuit. Our single stage PAS pump is plug'n'play solution, accepting the original belt pulley, and bolting directly to the factory S2/RS2 PAS pump bracket as well as having the correct inlet and outlet ports to accept the factory fluid supply hose and power-steering pressure hose to the steering rack.
We carry out a modification to the flow control valve inside the pump and set the pressure relief valve at 110bar which offers a little higher pressure at full load to make parking easier with wider wheels & tyres.
This is a brand new pump and no exchange/deposit is required.
Important Fitting Information - Please Read:
The vast majority of power steering system failures are caused by dirt ingress or contamination. It is imperative that these components be installed with care and attention to absolute cleanliness – dirt ingress or internal contamination will invalidate the warranty on your Ultra Performance Engineering power steering system components.
Follow the manufacturers instructions found in the workshop manual for the correct replacement procedure. Work should only be carried out by a competent person.
We recommend that all joints and unions and surrounding areas are thoroughly cleaned prior to disassembly. Crush washers and sealing elements should only be used once and should always be replaced.
Following assembly of replacement components, the fluid system should be primed before the pump is run at operating speeds. We strongly recommend that the fluid reservoir and filter media is cleaned whilst the system in drained for component fitting, and that the entire power steering system be thoroughly flushed with at least 2L of clean fluid before being used in service.
If any components are being replaced due to a mechanical failure, it is imperative that ALL system components be thoroughly flushed to remove all contamination before replacement parts are fitted. Note that this may necessitate removing the components from the vehicle to disassemble & clean to remove internal contamination.
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure correct installation.
